Well my latest blog is to with HEALTH in my Town and in my County Roscommon.
My Experience of A & E SIT-IN in ROSCOMON HOSPITAL . . Its a story that no film writer no book writer could not even try and make up for there Film Release or there Big book launch WHY CAUSE . . . THESES ARE THE REAL FACTS of the real thing in a very real story . . .
My County Hospital A & E was closed down by our POWERS OF BE a very very sad real-life story who effects all ages of all lifes. People-power woke up to say that they can not let this happen to them or to there familys or there friends . . So people with there familys kids babys turned up at Roscommon County hospital A & E on a monday evening . . . . THE POWERS OF BE HAVE CALLED IT ROSCOMMON A&E WAS CLOSING FOR EVER EVER AT 8PM lots of people of all ages from very young to 98 year old lady in a wheelchair were there waiting hopeing if the POWERS OF BE WOULD CHANGE THERE MINDS in closing the A & E DOORS the answer was no doors were closing WHAT NOW ? WHAT NEXT ? WHAT WILL BE DONE BY 8 BELLS . . Well PEOPLE-POWER WAITED WAITED AND COME 8PM DOORS WERE still open then all of a studden BANG BANG BANG PEOPLE-POWER ROLLED IN PAST THE 8 O CLOCK DEADLINE pass the main a&e doors and that was that the big fight was on to keep those A & E DOORS OPENED its 5 past 8 in the evening and now we have over 200plus people-power DOING A VERY BIG A&E SIT-IN the air of the a&e was very full of anger lots of anger there was people of all ages on a sit-in plus a lot more outside looking in and looking on to see what will happen next the DATE WAS THE 8 - 8 - 2011 MONDAY EVENING IT WAS NOW WRITTEN IN STONE PEOPLE-POWER OF ROSCOMMON were going no were the long dark evening was to kick in and kick in very fast ON A SIT-IN IN THE A & E.
1 Hour gone the next big 4 to 5 hours were the very big test on all people of all ages WOULD THE SIT-IN CHAIN BE BROKEN ? ? ? ? The big test would be tested in top gear on 1 very long long dark road ahead. While people get a seat relax and enjoy each others company the eyes the feet and of course the long tired bodys of people-power were kicking in and kicking in fast THERE WAS NO PRIZE NO MONEY NO LOTTO NOTHING AT ALL WAITING BUT JUST THE FEEL OF HEART OF WINNING OUT AND OVER TURNING THE POWERS OF BE OF CLOSING OUR A & E AT 8 PM.
As i sit down into my seat a gentleman in his early 80s stands his ground wearing a peak cap and a wet jacket by the look of his face he did not want tobe where he was but keep smiling for the sake of it . . of course i did say hello and i offered my seat to him he said no thank you your ok for now his answer back to me ill never for get ever ITS GOING TO BE A LONG NITE AHEAD IT WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE BLOOD FLOWING BE4 TO LONG WE WONT HAVE ANY TO FLOW . . The nite was funny sad enjoyable and to look around peoples faces there eyes there was a LOT OF SADNESS REALLY REALLY SAD FACES FROM ALL AGES of course all media was there getting there storys interviewing people storys why they were there etc . . BUT THERE WAS 1 PERSON THERE THAT took my notice it was a very clear sign been held up by a very young child the sign read simple TO YOUNG TO VOTE TO YOUNG TO DIE that was the sign that knocked me over for 10 to be honest ANOTHER SIGN SAID WHY WHY WHY AM I HERE I SHOULD BE AT HOME LOOKING AFTER MY YEAR OLD SON.
So every body PEOPLE-POWER STAYED AND STAYED AND STAYED RIGHT THOUGHT THE NIGHT UNTIL 8AM THE NEXT MORNING. So it goes to show that now PEOPLE-POWER ARE THE ONLY ANSWER NOW TO MAKE THAT EVERY BIG DIFFERENCE 1 DAY.
1 HOSPITAL 1 A & E 1 LIFE PEOPLE-POWER OF ROSCOMMON MAKE A DIFFERENCE NEVER GIVE ON YOUR A & E IS LIFE & DEATH.
